Photo of the Day- What’s behind Door “No. 69?”

"No. 69" - Tracey Capone Photography

New to my online gallery and adding to my ever growing collection of door art, is the photo of the day, “No. 69.” I came across this beautiful sapphire blue door while walking around Montmartre, Paris and literally stopped in the middle of the street; it took my breath away.

The entire door was 15 feet, if it was a foot, and the gorgeous scroll work and carvings were only made more amazing by the door’s perfect imperfections. I love how the door is slanted to work with the sidewalk, like many of the doors I came across on this trip, and how the gorgeous blue (is that actually cerulean blue?) plays so beautifully against the butter yellow of the building facade. I think I would actually consider moving in to this building just so that I can enter and exit through that door every day.

I truly think this is my favorite door of them all but it’s so hard to choose… what about
No. 3” or “No. 31” and we can’t forget the beautiful window in “No. 45.” Oh the choices! (and I haven’t even introduced you to all of them yet…)

Which door would you like to own?

Enjoy!
