Photo of the Day – Vintage

Vintage – Tracey Capone Photography © 2011

I love revisiting photographs from past trips. Sometimes it takes moving on to other projects to get the creative juices flowing enough to see things from a different perspective. Lately, I’ve been coming through my Route 66 photographs and, as a result, today’s Photo of the Day, “Vintage” is born.

Taken along Route 66 in Hackberry, Arizona, this sweet ride was a gem of a car all shiny and restored to perfection. (compared to some of the others we came across like the beautiful yet time worn “Betty Sue” or road weary “Billy Jack.”)

Looking forward to going through more of my Route 66 photographs and remembering what a wonderful week that was!

Enjoy!

  1. What a beautiful photo, it really evokes the feeling of an earlier era – the rustle of petticoats, channel surfing on the radio, icecream sodas…things that happened before I even got to earth. Well done!

  2. Love the use of light and creamy colours in contrast to the vivid red.Reminds me of an old style sundae. Very well done. :)
