I love revisiting photographs from past trips. Sometimes it takes moving on to other projects to get the creative juices flowing enough to see things from a different perspective. Lately, I’ve been coming through my Route 66 photographs and, as a result, today’s Photo of the Day, “Vintage” is born.
Taken along Route 66 in Hackberry, Arizona, this sweet ride was a gem of a car all shiny and restored to perfection. (compared to some of the others we came across like the beautiful yet time worn “Betty Sue” or road weary “Billy Jack.”)
Looking forward to going through more of my Route 66 photographs and remembering what a wonderful week that was!
Enjoy!

Many thanks
Very interesting photo, Tracey. I like the angle, the color and the simplicity. Very cool!
Lovely photo!
Thank you!
I really like the perspective used in this image and I look forward to see what other gems come from the road trip
Great tone, it gives character to the photo. Looking forward to seeing more
Thank you very much!
What a beautiful photo, it really evokes the feeling of an earlier era – the rustle of petticoats, channel surfing on the radio, icecream sodas…things that happened before I even got to earth. Well done!
Thank you very much! I’m happy to hear my photograph could evoke such feelings
Love the use of light and creamy colours in contrast to the vivid red.Reminds me of an old style sundae. Very well done.
Oooh I love that analogy! Thank you!
Reblogged this on eighteenthousand.
Gorgeous, I love the colour and the composition.
Thank you so much!
