The desk in my studio sits against a window so I can look out at the trees outside my window, see the hustle and bustle of city life while I work and now, with the cold weather fast approaching, the leaves beginning to turn and fall. Today is the first day of Autumn; my favorite season of the year. It’s a cool, but not cold, rainy day here in Chicago. A perfect Saturday for curling up with my cup of tea and my book club book, listening to the rain hit the stairs outside on my deck.
I don’t normally post on the weekends but I couldn’t help but mark the first day of Fall with one of my favorite autumnal photographs, “The Hold Outs,” taken a couple of years ago at the Montrose Bird Sanctuary. I am looking forward to capturing more beautiful crimson, amber, ochre and indigo this Autumn… and of course, sharing with you
Happy Autumn!
