Allow me to indulge my inner Crazy Cat Lady by posting a photo of the birthday boy, Jack, who just turned one. Those of you who have followed my blog for a while know that I adopted Jack from Chicago Animal Control a year ago next month. I can’t believe how fast time flies and how much he’s changed over the year. OK so, admittedly, one thing that hasn’t changed is that the seemingly peaceful cat you see in today’s Photo of the Day is still, and likely always will be a fuzzy, little ball of trouble. Regardless, he is nothing if he is not entertaining and the smiles he brings far outweigh the messes I have to clean up. I know he’s made Charlie quite the happy companion (most of the time) over the last year.

I’m off on a road trip today, taking advantage of a beautiful, fall day and stepping away from the editing table (look for photos from the Railway Museum soon!) to head out with the camera!
